Ondo State Acting Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has told the 2023 set of BEMORE graduands to embrace the newness they were given in their two-week training and make the best of it.
He charged them to continually take action towards achieving their goals.
Aiyedatiwa spoke at the Summer Boot Camp graduation and closing ceremony of BEMORE 2023, held at Mabest Academy, Oke-Ijebu Akure on Saturday.
The Acting Governor said, “with the multi-dimensional training including skill acquisition, digital, entrepreneurial and leadership training you have undergone here, everyone of you is definitely going back home a changed person”.
“The transformation has not only fortified you to aim higher, you are sufficiently empowered to own your future”.
“We rejoice with you over this huge turning point in your lives, your voice must be heard louder and you must go out to represent your gender creditability in all facets of life”, he said.
While charging them to continually take action towards achieving their goals, Aiyedatiwa implored the new graduands to transcend beyond their best.
“Go into the world and conquer, the time to rule the world is now”, he declared.
Joining virtually from Germany, BEMORE initiator and Wife of Ondo State Governor, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu declared that BEMORE has come to stay.
“We have build another Batch of builders: BEMORE thrives on building capacities as well as building lives”.
“We have since built sturdy bridges across ethnic, religious and economic boundaries by turning lives around and yearly enlarging our empire of female champions”, she said.
Betty Akeredolu thereafter made a clarion call to all and sundry to join in building a befitting edifice where generations of BEMORE girls would freely meet, interact and make things happen.
“We are therefore calling on all well meaning citizens, government, corporate bodies, donors agencies to join us in building a home, our own Jerusalem for these problem solvers: to join us in securing a lustrous legacy that will outlive us all and last for generations”.
“This is the clarion call we all need to heed to help the girl children to soar above primordial limitations, to restore abundant pride to the female folk; to give girls renewed sense of self and a worthier future and to build a gender-fair country that we all can be proud of”, she pleaded.
Some of the highlights at the event includes, Music presentation and Arts Auction, Breast Cancer Awareness Demonstration, Breast Cancer Awareness Talk and Presentation of Laptops and Certificate to all the graduands.
Other dignitaries at the event are, House of Representatives member, representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Hon Jimi Odimayo, Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele who led other cabinet members, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde, BEMORE Chief Matron, Mrs Elizabeth Akpan, government officials, FOWOSO members, BRECAN members and others.
