Day 6: Bemore Girls Acquire Skills in Public Speaking, Solar Installation, Taekwondo, Others

Complete Sixth Day in Camp

The Bemore Girls presently encamped for the sixth edition of the yearly summer boot camp for Naija girls have continued to acquire expertise in solar technology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and other life-enhancing skills.

They completed the sixth day in the Camp on Saturday. In the course of the day, the Girls received lecture on the art of Public Speaking being part of the syllabus for Leadership class.

Also, the Trainees, during the ICT Class, furthered learnings on Coding and Graphic Design after which they were separated into two groups with one set learning the making of a battery-powered Fan that can also be solar-powered; the other group learned the process of Basic Solar Installation.

The day had commenced with the routine morning physical exercise which is part of the Foundation’s Standard of Operations (SOP) and a deliberate way to keep them physically and mentally fit ahead of each day’s activities. The Boot Campers also participated in Taekwondo Training Session.

Meanwhile, the Girls were evaluated based on their trainings and experiences during the first week of Boot Camp as part of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) process of Bemore Empowered Girls’ Foundation.

The Boot Camp is still ongoing at Mabest Academy, Oke-Ijebu, Akure, Ondo State.
