BEMORE Pays its Condolences
On Saturday, January 13th, 2024, the BEMORE Empowered Initiative extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu during a visit to their residence in Ibadan, Nigeria.
Founded in 2017 by Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, BEMORE is dedicated to empowering young girls in science and technology, aiming to bridge the gender gap in STEM+E by 2030.
During the visit, a delegation of BEMORE girls, matrons, and facilitators offered support, serenading the family with a touching tribute that charged the atmosphere with emotion as tears mingled with the empowering lyrics of the song.
Since 2017, BEMORE has successfully trained and mentored more than 3,000 girls in ICT, solar technology, and other valuable life skills.
The interaction was emotional and sincere, with Rotimi Akeredolu Jr. expressing appreciation and a family member sharing words of wisdom with the girls. Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu thanked the BEMORE team, emphasizing the organization’s lasting commitment while expressing gratitude for their support and reaffirming BEMORE’s dedication to training the next generation of tech-savvy girls.
The BEMORE Empowered Initiative remains steadfast in empowering young girls and contributing to science and technology progress in Nigeria.
