Bemore Graduate, Ireola Kolawole, Expresses Gratitude Through Generosity, Credits Bemore for Shaping Me
It Emerges as One of the Swiftest Expanding Academies for Girls, Says Father.
A twelve-year-old graduate of Bemore, Ireola Victoria Kolawole, from the Bemore 2022 set and affiliated with SDG 02 (Zero Hunger), has demonstrated her support for the ongoing Bemore 2023 Summer Boot Camp by donating food and essential items.
Ireola expressed that her donation to Bemore was driven by the foundation’s substantial impact on her academic achievements, thanks to the training she received during the 5th edition of the boot camp held in August 2022.
In her own words: “During my time at the camp, I gained valuable training in solar energy, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. This significantly improved my academic performance, as I achieved top grades in all my O-level subjects. This experience motivated me to seek this donation for the current Bemore girls and my dear peers in the boot camp.”

Ireola, accompanied by her family, presented the items to the foundation at Mabest Academy, Oke-Ijebu, Akure, Ondo State, where the boot camp is taking place. She shared her enthusiasm for what she gained from Bemore and extended her gratitude to the founder, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, for creating the Bemore platform for girls.
“I take pride in announcing that I am a product of the Bemore Empowered Girls’ Foundation, 2022. I want to express my gratitude to our beloved grandma, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, Ada Owerri 1, for empowering us to be more. Her creation of the Bemore platform extends not only to girls in Nigeria or Africa but worldwide. Congratulations to the Bemore girls of 2023.”
Ireola’s father, Hon Babatunde Kolawole, who previously represented Akoko South West/Akoko South East Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, National Assembly, between 2015 and 2019, commended his daughter’s initiative and highlighted the remarkable growth of Bemore Academy for girls.
“As a father, I am here to stand by my daughter, Ireola Kolawole, to offer her the necessary support and to join her in appreciating Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the First Lady of Ondo State, and the Bemore Family for their remarkable work. Bemore has swiftly emerged as one of the fastest-growing academies for the girl child. We are pleased to be part of this success story.”

He called on the government to extend its support to the Bemore Empowered Girls’ Foundation by making products used by girls tax-free or providing subsidies to enhance affordability.
Honorable Kolawole, also known as ‘Amaechi’, appealed to the government: “I urge the government to provide essential support to the Bemore Girls’ Foundation, ensuring a conducive environment for our girls to compete effectively or even surpass their male counterparts. We are currently advocating for a bill that will make products used by girls tax-free or more affordable, hence the plea to the government.”
He emphasized the significant contributions of women in various spheres and expressed his commitment to supporting his daughters’ aspirations.
The donation was received on behalf of the foundation by Mrs. Elizabeth Akpan, the Chief Matron and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Administration.
