Ondo State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Otunba Bamidele Ologun, has instilled confidence in the Bemore Girls, assuring them that they can realize their aspirations through diligent efforts.
During his address to the new participants of the 2023 Bemore Summer Boot Camp at Mabest Academy, Oke-Ijebu, Akure, Ondo State’s capital, Ologun encouraged the girls to grasp the opportunity they’ve been given to partake in the Camp.
He emphasized, “There’s no limit to what a woman can achieve that a man can’t. My role as Commissioner is a testament that you have the potential to become whatever you aspire to in life. If I can attain the position of a Commissioner, it’s proof that you too can achieve more. You could even become your country’s President. Your journey starts now, and your success is determined by how effectively you utilize the Bemore opportunity.”
Characterizing Bemore as a commendable initiative, the Commissioner conveyed that the most meaningful way for the girls to acknowledge the Founder’s efforts is by working diligently to achieve success.
He expressed, “Some might underestimate the merits of this outstanding program due to a lack of understanding. However, the Founder remains resolute, unwavered by criticism or doubts. As beneficiaries of this legacy, understand that the best way to honor her commitment is by thriving in life.”
Ologun pointed out the Founder’s journey to her current position and encouraged the girls to aim high: “If Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu could reach her current heights, it’s an indication that you can surpass it too. This is her aspiration for you, which is why she named this platform ‘Bemore’ and dedicates her utmost efforts to ensure your success.”
Addressing the new Bemore girls, Ologun congratulated them and stressed the significance of this opportunity: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance you must not squander. Absorb the teachings of your instructors and facilitators wholeheartedly. The only way you could misuse this opportunity is by not giving it your full attention. I implore you to treat this opportunity earnestly and extract the maximum benefit.”
He reminded them of the many others who wish for such an opportunity and urged them to make the most of it: “There are numerous students like you who yearn to be here but haven’t been granted the chance. Make the most of it. I extend my congratulations to all of you for your participation in the 2023 Bemore Summer Boot Camp.”
